Calculate:根据已知信息预估出一个结果或者答案

Define:某个术语或者动作是何意，给出他的定义。

如题：Define the term ‘income inequality’（此类题多出现在section B）

此类定义题，特别是涉及到两个词时，切忌只解释一个，一般情况下阅卷的老师不会完全刻板地参考给出的答案，只要学生给出的定义清晰准确到位，都可以给满分。

State:给出你的观点，无需论据或者提供少量的论据

如题：Which one of the following is true?

A . Apositive statement is one which can be tested against the facts.

B. Apositive statement is one which never contains words such as ‘could’ or‘should’.

C. Anormative statement is one which can be scientifically proven to be true orfalse.

D. Anormative statement is one which never contains words such as ‘is’ or ‘will’ or‘always’.

Analyse:条理清晰地解释相关联的所有部分，分析他们是如何联系在一起，如何相互产生影响。

Compare:比较，无外乎就是相似点和不同点。

Explain/how:给出清楚合理的原因，可使用案例去解释问题背后的原理，此处不仅需要用到理论知识，还需要列出实际应用的情况。

如题：With the help of an appropriate diagram and the information in Extract B, explain how rising incomes in China and India have affected theglobal price of wheat.

Consider:你的想法/观点，以及为什么会有这样观点的原因

Assess:你的判断

Comment upon：给出合理的观点，并予以解释

Criticise:抛出你的观点，但是需要证据佐助

Discuss: 给出支持和反对的论点，最后需要得出一个结论，也就是说，需要你去分析与评估。

Justify:解释为什么正面的观点能压倒反面的，也就是解释为什么支持意见比反对意见更站得住脚。

Evaluate: 从全局出发权衡你的观点，它的重要性和价值所在。

To what extent: 给出支持和反对某个论点的原因，得出哪些论证最站得住脚，哪些最不合理。

Describe:形容XX的主要特征

Identify:Name the key knowledge point指出/辨识出最核心最关键最主要的知识点

如题：Using Extract A, identify two significant points of comparisonbetween the changes in real household disposable income for the two incomegroups over the period shown

Illustrate:举例/插图说明某事/行为等

如题：A production possibility frontier illustrates

Outline:指出关键信息点，无需赘述细节

outline/identify/define如果出现在问答题，都只需要简洁一针见血的答案，若是describe则需要抠细节。
