1. put pressure on
Maybe you do put pressure on me,
but it's nothing compared to ,
what I put on myshelf.
stress
/stres/
great worry caused by a difficult situation,
or something that causes this condition
2. under stress/pressure
under a lot of stress/pressure,
例:
People under a lot of stress may experience headaches,
minor pains, and sleepingdifficulties.
3. stress out
Subject to or undergo extreme ,
pressure or strain, as from working.
For example, I badly need a vacation;
I'm just plain stressed out from this job
and its aggravations.
He's so stressed out lately.
Pressure is the force that is applied to something ,
and stress is the reaction directly related to it.
In other words, if a heavy object is on top of me,
the pressure would cause my body to stress.
However, if my boss is pressuring me ,
to meet a deadline, the stress part is up to me,
(that is where the internalization comes from).
So in most cases when something is said ,
to be stressed,
it is most likely ,
pressured as well, but that is already ,
indicated by saying it is stressed.
