The best way for the government to solve traffic congestion is to provide free public transport 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Do you agree or disagree?

When it comes to the issue about how to tackle traffic congestions, some people may argue that the best solution is to provide citizens with free public transport all the time. However, as far as I am concerned, such solution can hardly work.

Admittedly, free transportation could function to reduce traffic congestions because people would decrease the use of private cars.

段末不忘话锋一转，强调弊大于利。

Nevertheless, there exist more drawbacks than benefits acquired from free transportation.

第三段来讲第一个弊端：财政压力。

To begin with, the government may face more economic burdens if public transportation is free.

Providing that the government allocates too much money to public traffic, other parts of services, such as pension for the elderly and the disabled, may not be well supported.
