下面我们就来认识一些与trick有关的习惯用语，意思却大不相同！
1. do the trick
do the trick其实是指：
To do, accomplish, or fulfil exactly ，
what is needed or sought after.
做到、完成事情，达到理想的结果
举个例子
The recipe calls for pancetta,
but I think this regular bacon should do the trick.
食谱要求用意大利烟肉，
但我认为这种普通的培根应该也可以。
2. bag of tricks
Bag是口袋，袋子；trick是诀窍、手法。
Bag of tricks 顾名思义就是指“各种诀窍，种种手法”。
举个例子
On-line thieves have developed a variety ，
of crafty methods to try to deceive you.
Beware of their bag of tricks!
网上窃贼想出了各种狡猾的办法来骗人，
要警惕他们的各种手法。
3. every trick in the book
every trick in the book指的是：
Every possible way to do or achieve something,
especially ways that are clever,
cunning, or ethically questionable.
完成或实现某件事的一切可能的方式，
尤其是指那些精明的、狡猾的或道德上有问题的方式。
举个例子
If you want girls to be interested in you,
my older brother knows every trick in the book.

4. the oldest trick in the book
the oldest trick in the book指的是：
A method of deception, or of addressing some issue,
that is well known or has been used for a long time.
一种众所周知、或已使用很长时间的欺骗或解决问题的方法
举个例子
Selling tourists fake artifacts is the oldest ，
trick in the book—please don't fall for that one.
向游客出售假冒文物是老把戏了，请不要上当。
5. teach an old dog new tricks
之前的学习中，小编介绍过 like showing a card trick to a dog ，
这个习惯用语，
今天我们就再认识另一个trick + dog的短语：teach an old dog new tricks，
教一只老狗新把戏。
这个短语的引申意思是“教给某人一些新的技能，
以改变长期的习惯或方式，
尤其是指教一个坚定地坚持自己的方式、
一成不变的老年人”。
举个例子
It's great that you want to teach your grandpa how to use a computer,

6. never miss a trick
never miss a trick 形容的是那些
“随时利用每一个机会为自己谋取利益、好处的人”。

你从不错过任何机会，不是吗？
7. dirty trick
dirty trick 是一种为了某人的利益
而采取的不道德或不诚实的行为。
举个例子
I really wish you had been honest ，
with me from the start about causing damage to my car.
Blaming the neighbor was a real dirty trick.
我真希望你从一开始就对我坦白是你弄坏了我的车，
责怪邻居真是一个卑鄙的伎俩。
8. confidence game/trick
confidence game/trick 里的confidence是“信任”而不是“自信”的意思，
这种用法可追溯到19世纪中期。
看过英剧《Hustle》（《飞天大盗》）的小伙伴们一定熟悉这个词：con man，
这里的con同样也是confidence，
指先获得某人的信任然后欺骗他们的骗子，
confidence game/trick 就是指这种骗人手法。
举个例子
I almost let myself be taken in by her con game. She seemed so sincere.
