1、outline a few various things 概括了各种不同的事

The books outlined a few various things the author used to do, which we can also get into the habit of doing. 这本书概括了一些作者做过的不同事情。我们也可以养成习惯去做这些事。

2、 browse around in a bookshop 在书店随便逛逛

When I was browsing around in my local bookshop one day, the book's cover kind of just caught my eye when I saw its name written in big bold letters. 有一天我在我们当地书店闲逛的时候，这本书的封面名字因为是大写的粗体，很快就吸引了我的注意力。

3、be definitely no exception 不是例外

I should also mention the fact that I'm a big fan of self-help books, because on the whole, I tend to learn quite a lot from them, and this book was definitely no exception.  我还想说的是，我很喜欢励志的书，因为大体上我一般会学到很多东西，这本书也不例外。

4、 improve any given skill 提高特定技能

Self-help books are excellent guides to improving any given skill. 自助/励志书籍是提高特定技能的完美指南。

5、 an instant best-seller 很快成为畅销书籍

His eighth book came out earlier this year and was an instant best-seller. 他的第8本书今年早些时候出版了，并很快成为了一本畅销书。
